This episode features charismatic singer, songwriter, fiddler and poet Brigid Reedy and her fabulous young sideman and little brother, guitarist Johnny Reedy. These two young powerhouse voices carry the authentic cowboy fiddling tradition into a new era. Brigid has been performing since she was two, and we just can’t say enough about her. Check out her website.

Also on deck, epic cowboy poetry icon Randy Rieman. When he’s not hosting horsemanship clinics or braiding reatas, Randy’s one of the most celebrated cowboy poets in the West. With a rich, sonorous voice and a passion for the culture and traditions of cowboy reciting, Randy is a phenomenon to see, and a good soul to spend time with. Get a taste of him here, reciting at the 2019 National Cowboy Poetry Gathering where he’s always a big draw.

This Soundstage episode is a cultural excursion into a fine Montana tradition.
